Drift — Car Commercial

A fifteen-second car spot blocked shot-for-shot in Blender, then taken to final cinematic frames with AI video — the previz drives every camera, cut and drift.

A mountain-pass car commercial in twelve shots: an overhead reveal of the hairpin, a tail-light close-up as the engine fires, chase cameras and cornering drifts through a pine-lined pass, and a final aerial pull-back that lands the Drift title over the valley.

Previz first

Every shot was blocked in Blender before a single final frame existed — greyscale road, low-poly terrain, a stand-in car and the real cameras. Focal lengths, cut points, drift angles, tyre-smoke timing and the title move were all locked here, so the final pass only had to match the plan, not invent it.

Previz to final

The AI video pass keeps the previz camera and composition frame-for-frame and adds the photoreal layer on top: grey road becomes asphalt, blocks become rock and pine, the stand-in becomes a car with real paint, reflections and smoke. Left is the Blender previz, right is the finished frame at the same moment.
