Concept ad for DuckDuckGo’s tracker blocking, told as a paper diorama. It opens on a giant eyeball peering through a window at a resident, then pulls back to show a whole island town being watched while trackers lift browsing, email and search out of the houses. A duck in a green bow tie rises behind the rooftops, an accordion fence snaps up around the island and cuts the streams, and the camera cranes to a top-down view that hands over to the DuckDuckGo logo. The line: Your town. Your data. No prying eyes.
Built in Blender
The town is modelled low-poly in Blender and rendered in EEVEE, animated on twos so it moves like stop-motion paper craft. The duck takes its colours from the official logo — yellow beak, green bow tie — and the fence its orange-red, so the end card feels like the scene resolving, not a logo dropped on top. Supers and the end card were finished in After Effects.
Playblast
The same 15 seconds straight from Blender’s viewport, with no lighting, colour or text: just the blocking, the camera moves and the timing.
Playblast to final
Three moments, playblast on the left and the finished frame on the right: the hook, the duck rising, and the fence going up.
